Buoyed by the success of its activities with key account customers, and convinced that education plays a key role in the fight against poverty, inequality and environmental degradation and the promotion of well-being and peace, Teach on Mars founded the association Teach on Earth in 2017. It allows not-for-profit organisations and NGOs to benefit from both Teach on Mars expertise and the best digital learning technologies for the most effective training of their teams and service users.
On 25 September, a symbolic date marking the fourth anniversary of the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals instigated by the United Nations, Teach on Earth launched a mobile app to raise global awareness of the issues and challenges facing our planet. This free, open-access mobile platform offers entertaining and engaging educational content on the SDGs. This initiative was set up as part of target 4.7 of SDG 4, which focuses on global citizenship education and education for sustainable development.
Teach on Mars is also committed to the “Tech for Good” movement through its support for Global Compact France, the local version of the United Nations Global Compact. This brings together companies and organisations who work to develop and share social responsibility initiatives. Through its partnership with the association, Teach on Mars has access to the learning resources of the Global Compact.
The content available at the launch of the app on 25 September covers:

- SDG 1. No Poverty
- SDG 2. Zero Hunger
- SDG 3. Good Health & Well-being
- SDG 4. Quality Education
- SDG 9. Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- and SDG 12. Responsible Consumption and Production.
This list will be regularly added to over time, the aim being to offer 50 training courses on the 17 SDGs by the summer of 2020. Teach on Earth relies on the assistance of experts (associations, NGOs, universities, research institutes, UN agencies and government agencies) to contribute to the development of content aimed at securing the future of the planet.
