{"id":40212,"date":"2023-09-10T16:42:01","date_gmt":"2023-09-10T14:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/?p=40212"},"modified":"2023-10-02T16:42:50","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T14:42:50","slug":"teach-on-mars-pursues-its-csr-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/en\/blog\/2023\/09\/teach-on-mars-pursues-its-csr-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"Teach on Mars pursues its CSR strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Teach on Mars continues to pursue sustainable goals for the new, 2023-2024 fiscal year.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After several flagship initiatives and continuous improvement drives in the past year, (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/en\/our-commitment\/\">CSR charter<\/a>, a travel policy encouraging car-pooling for staff commutes, a renewal of UN Global Compact commitments, content partnerships on our <a href=\"https:\/\/teachonearth-webapp.teachonmars.com\/\">Teach on Earth application<\/a>, etc), Teach on Mars is bolstering its efforts in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility with plans to establish a high-impact and precise action plan, based on <strong>2 key areas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>carbon footprint<\/li>\n<li>BCorp self-assessment (B Impact Assessment)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our strategy is based on 3 areas, which we feel cover the <strong>3 CSR issues<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>awareness raising<\/li>\n<li>company transformation<\/li>\n<li>staff initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To explore our main fields of endeavour and understand the changes we must make so that our business becomes more sustainable, we are focusing, first and foremost, on our carbon footprint. This will help us to determine our main sources of Greenhouse Gas emissions. The next objective will be to adapt our methods of production, hosting (infrastructure) and use.<\/p>\n<p>The 2nd area that we consider of importance for a better understanding of our position as a digital player in CSR, is BCorp\u2019s BIA. This questionnaire, which covers the full range of social and environmental issues pertaining to organisations, allows us to keep in mind the short- and long-term aims to prioritise and implement.
