{"id":39329,"date":"2022-12-12T19:00:11","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T18:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/?p=39329"},"modified":"2022-12-15T11:11:29","modified_gmt":"2022-12-15T10:11:29","slug":"mla22-usecase-klepierre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/en\/blog\/2022\/12\/mla22-usecase-klepierre\/","title":{"rendered":"[Mobile Learning Awards] Spotlight on Kl\u00e9pierre, the training prize-winner, best practice guide!"},"content":{"rendered":"<hr \/>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>THE TRAINING COURSE PRIZE<\/h3>\n<p>This award is presented to the best course using Teach on Mars technology.<br \/>\n3 criteria are assessed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Architecture (coherence, choice of activities)<\/li>\n<li>Graphic and editorial style<\/li>\n<li>Interactivity (engagement, learner support)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, more than 20 courses were scrutinised by our jury and 4 were selected after the first round of deliberations.<br \/>\nIt was Kl\u00e9pierre\u2019s \u201cData protection at Kl\u00e9pierre\u201d course which eventually won the jury over during the final deliberations.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>THE PRIZE-WINNER<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Kl\u00e9pierre<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kl\u00e9pierre is the European shopping centre leader with 100 leading centres in 12 different countries.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-38951 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/klepierre.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"187\" height=\"222\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The most iconic centres in Europe, 1.1 billion visits per year and a single promise: shop. meet. connect.\u00ae<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Kl\u00e9pierre and Teach on Mars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kl\u00e9pierre adopted the Teach on Mars solution in 2018 in order to meet new market challenges and survive in an increasingly digitalised world.<br \/>\nThe goal was to provide a modern training programme: <strong>Learn UP!<\/strong> allowing for innovation and boosting employees\u2019 skills.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>THE WINNING TRAINING COURSE: BEST PRACTICES<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cyber-security is central to political and economic concerns. More than one in two French companies experienced at least one cyber-attack in 2021 according to the Barometer published by the Information Security and Digital Experts Club (Cesin).<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s more, the COVID crisis weakened whole swathes of the economy in some sectors and led to an increase in the number of attacks.<br \/>\nAs a company listed on the stock exchange, Kl\u00e9pierre is particularly affected by this, especially given that the type of data is more sensitive than for other companies. More specifically, the issues which present themselves are the protection, storage, transfer and archiving of data and the assignment of responsibilities among the various individuals in charge.<br \/>\nIt was against this background that it was decided that the 2021 training programme for all staff members would focus on data protection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Immersive training<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>I welcome this marvellous initiative and the very successful and high-quality project. The videos aimed at learners whisk us away; we really feel part of the project!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sandrine Bourcier &#8211; Director of Digital and Training &#8211; La Martiniquaise &#8211; Jury Member<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Learners start the training, launch the first video and the immersion is immediate. Plunged into darkness, we\u2019re asked to remove the blindfold covering our eyes and we discover the War Room, a secret room dedicated to data protection.<br \/>\nSitting by our side are other members of the Kl\u00e9pierre cybersecurity team, and opposite, an individual tasks us with the following mission: the team has 30 minutes to prevent a massive data leakage at Kl\u00e9pierre.<\/p>\n<p>The learner is the central figure in the videos which form part of the course and everything is filmed from their point of view. The learner thus becomes the course\u2019s hero or avatar: the characters speak directly to the audience \u2013 looking into the camera, and hand us items (see image below), our eyes are blindfolded and block our vision, etc.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39335 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/main_dossier_en.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"992\" height=\"554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/main_dossier_en.png 992w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/main_dossier_en-980x547.png 980w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/main_dossier_en-480x268.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 992px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The extent of the immersion shifts up a notch when, at the end of the videos, learners are asked to make a decision about what action to take, directly influencing the storyline.<br \/>\nFor example, in the screenshot below, learners can choose between two possible actions following the first meeting:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39337 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/choix_en.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1334\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/choix_en.png 1334w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/choix_en-1280x720.png 1280w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/choix_en-980x551.png 980w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/choix_en-480x270.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) and (max-width: 1280px) 1280px, (min-width: 1281px) 1334px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The codes of storytelling acquire new meaning<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>We focused a great deal on the course\u2019s storytelling in order to create a fun, immersive, interactive and pedagogical experience. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>So Yeon Lee &#8211; Group Learning &amp; Development Manager &#8211; Kl\u00e9pierre &#8211; content creator<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The course reinvents the codes of storytelling, and the pace is based around the narrative discourse:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>incipit \u2192 arrival in the War Room<\/li>\n<li>disruptive element \u2192 risk of massive data leakage<\/li>\n<li>actions \u2192 resolution of leakage risk by solving challenges<\/li>\n<li>resolution, final situation \u2192 data protection is guaranteed!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39339 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/fin_en.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"826\" height=\"516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/fin_en.png 826w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/fin_en-480x300.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 826px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The characters are skilfully constructed, in line with the codes of series: (funny) names, character, quest\u2026 each module then transforms into an episode, in which we follow the characters\u2019 development.<br \/>\nThe main characters include Sourcil, the head of the mission and Kappuccino, the learner &#8211; a young, promising recruit. Complicity forms between the two characters thanks to the course: challenge, encouragement, etc.<br \/>\nThe characters\u2019 names are gender-neutral so as to include all staff members in the course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s not forget the operational dimension<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The immersive dimension and the storytelling do not overshadow the operational dimension and the teaching objectives which are astutely introduced.<br \/>\nDifferent kinds of media are used to transmit key information: motion design graphics and audio for example.<br \/>\nMore than simply validating knowledge, the activities the learner chooses help them to learn notions about data protection, with comprehensive field orientation and practical application.<br \/>\nThe format of question activities varies according to pedagogical needs: multiple choice questions and role plays, for example.
