The pathway takes into account the person\u2019s qualities, weaknesses, habits and goals. The pathway adapts in real time to the learner\u2019s activity and constantly adjusts in accordance with their performance and interest. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"p4\">Adaptive learning uses <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> to actively adapt content to each individual\u2019s needs. It draws on domains as diverse as <strong>machine learning, cognitive science, predictive analysis and education theory<\/strong> to turn this learner-centric vision of pedagogy into a reality.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"p4\">When we think \u201cAdaptive Learning\u201d, we generally think of<strong> Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> (AI), but it can also be provided by means of <strong>human intervention<\/strong> (trainer, coach, manager, etc.).<\/span><span id=\"p4\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Texte&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Challenges associated with adaptive learning\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adaptive Learning addresses multidimensional challenges and for each challenge, offers a range of possibilities to achieve greater <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/en\/blog\/2022\/04\/statistics-calculating-the-impact-of-training\/\">pedagogical efficacy<\/a>, better learner engagement and greater company agility.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pedagogical efficacy:\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purpose of pedagogical efficacy is to optimise learning using several adaptive levers. To this end, it must offer the right content at the right time: for example, by adapting to the learner and their rhythm, or by sending them a notification prompting them to learn.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learner engagement:<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to more personalised training, which better meets their needs, learner engagement is maximised. These chatbots seek more details by asking employees questions to articulate their needs. Thanks to the information supplied, you can contextualise their request and tailor the response given.<br \/>You can analyse search queries using natural language processing (NLP). Thanks to this analysis, you can map needs.<br \/>You can also offer a set of actions without using AI:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013\u00a0 Qualitative and quantitative satisfaction surveys.<br \/>\u2013\u00a0 A ritualised interview campaign: quarterly or annually.<br \/>\u2013\u00a0 Polls linked to your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/en\/blog\/2021\/11\/how-and-why-create-skills-inventory\/\">skills frameworks.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"p71\">2) The pathway (macro-adaptive)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"p80\">Undoubtedly the most prominent, training pathways must be optimally tailored to the learner\u2019s results and behaviours. Therefore, even with similar content, the path the learner will follow will be unique and will depend on their level or needs.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"p80\">From an AI perspective, here we refer to all the notions of prescription thanks, for example, to algorithms.<br \/>At this level, designers have a range of possibilities available to them:<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"p80\">\u2013 Conditions for accessing modules: \u201cto access module 2, you need to pass module 1\u201d.<br \/>\u2013 Quizzes or recommendation questionnaires which make learning conditional on a certain level or interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"p111\">3) Content (micro-adaptive)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"p112\">Is the content tailored to the learner? Is the difficulty level right? In this context, the content is customised and unique to each learner, depending on their progress and choice.<br \/>Artificial Intelligence is starting to offer automation systems for content creation (Learning Chatbot). This helps to create content to accommodate specific needs, but also throughout the entire knowledge evaluation phase (Quiz Learning Chatbot).<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"p112\">A fundamental point about Adaptive Learning arises from content generation by learners themselves (UGC, User Generated Content). Indeed, from a \u201chuman\u201d point of view, UGC addresses and adapts to the most practical needs, hence the keen interest over the last few years in social learning. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3>4) The trigger<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learning invitations are sent at the right time, this means truly adapting to the learner\u2019s rhythm. AI is capable of analysing connection and use habits and can therefore pinpoint times which are most likely to engage learners.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From a trainer\u2019s or a coach\u2019s perspective, knowledge comes from the learner\u2019s need, in tune with their activities.
