By embedding Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the heart of our solution, we will be able to expand training capabilities and make training strategies more operational, while reducing the cost of developing programmes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21481 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Logos_ToM_Inria-1024x212.png\" alt=\"logos partenariat teach on mars et inria sophia antipolis\" width=\"1024\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Logos_ToM_Inria-980x203.png 980w, https:\/\/www.teachonmars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Logos_ToM_Inria-480x100.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The official launch of the partnership took place on Monday, February 10, 2020 in the presence of the entire <a href=\"https:\/\/team.inria.fr\/wimmics\/\">Wimmics<\/a> project team, a joint research team between the CNRS, Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur and Inria Sophia-Antipolis, and several journalists.<\/p>\n<p>This partnership will enable the two entities to collaborate on <strong>AI research work<\/strong> and to pursue joint research and development activities in the field of learning development. It is being initiated by a collaboration with the Wimmics research team, a specialist in web-instrumented AI.<\/p>\n<p>The two partners have thereby formalized their willingness to pool resources to foster the emergence and application of new intelligent learning algorithms. AI will facilitate, on the one hand, the <strong>understanding of training needs<\/strong> and, on the other hand, the development and <strong>recommendation of personalised learning paths<\/strong> adapted to each learner (level of skills and knowledge, learning preferences and time available).<\/p>\n<p>By enabling automatic indexing of instructional resources, AI will also help L&amp;D professionals to generate <strong>relevant and motivating content<\/strong>. Learning strategies will thus be better aligned with the needs and objectives of learners and organisations. The learning ecosystem specific to each organisation will function more efficiently and at lower cost, thanks in particular to recommendations that will optimise the time devoted to training. With this Time to Competency approach, AI will act as a powerful driver for training strategies and make them more operational, while reducing the overall cost of learning programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The benefit of this collaboration lies in the <strong>synergy between our complementary know-how<\/strong>. By pooling expertise and resources, our two organisations offer a solution that will be very closely aligned with the <strong>expectations of learners, facilitators, instructional designers and organisations<\/strong>. This agreement enables us to benefit from the value-creating algorithms developed by Inria and allows Inria to validate its work on real data and real learning environments, and to partner our ambitious projects. This partnership is a good example of the dynamics of Sophia Antipolis&#8217; innovation ecosystem, and of decompartmentalization between the worlds of business and research.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>I am delighted to announce the partnership with Inria, which came about in a very natural kind of way because introducing AI is set to mark a new era in the development of L&amp;D. At a time when the ultra-personalisation of training is an increasingly obvious need, building intelligent algorithms into our solution is a fundamental challenge that we have to overcome in order to optimally support the development of user skills and reduce the cost of learning programmes, for the benefit of learners, L&amp;D professionals and organisations. Il est amorc\u00e9 par une collaboration avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche Wimmics, sp\u00e9cialiste de l\u2019IA sur le Web.\r\n\r\nLes deux partenaires officialisent ainsi leur volont\u00e9 de mettre en commun leurs ressources pour favoriser l\u2019\u00e9mergence et l\u2019application de nouveaux algorithmes intelligents au service de l\u2019apprentissage. L\u2019IA va faciliter, d'une part, la <strong>compr\u00e9hension des besoins en formation<\/strong>, et, d\u2019autre part, l\u2019\u00e9laboration et la <strong>recommandation de parcours de formation personnalis\u00e9s<\/strong> et donc adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 chaque apprenant (niveau de comp\u00e9tences et de connaissances, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences d\u2019apprentissage et temps disponible).\r\n\r\nL'IA va \u00e9galement aider les formateurs \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des <strong>contenus pertinents et motivants<\/strong>, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019indexation automatique de ressources p\u00e9dagogiques. Les strat\u00e9gies d\u2019apprentissage seront ainsi mieux align\u00e9es sur les besoins et les objectifs des apprenants et des organisations. L\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me d\u2019apprentissage des organisations fonctionnera plus efficacement et \u00e0 moindre co\u00fbt, gr\u00e2ce notamment aux recommandations qui permettront d\u2019optimiser le temps consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la formation. Avec cette d\u00e9marche Time to Competency, l\u2019IA va ainsi agir comme un levier sur les strat\u00e9gies de formation et les rendre davantage op\u00e9rationnelles, tout en r\u00e9duisant les co\u00fbts des programmes p\u00e9dagogiques.\r\n\r\nL\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de cette collaboration r\u00e9side dans la <strong>synergie entre nos savoir-faire compl\u00e9mentaires<\/strong>. En mutualisant leurs expertises et ressources, nos deux organisations offrent une solution au plus pr\u00e8s des<strong> attentes de apprenants, des formateurs et des organisations<\/strong>. Cet accord nous permet ainsi de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier des algorithmes cr\u00e9ateurs de valeur d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s par Inria et \u00e0 Inria de valider ses travaux sur des donn\u00e9es et environnements r\u00e9els et d\u2019accompagner nos projets ambitieux.
